Following their jubilant victory in the PodRace and the subsequent celebrations, the Oricans awaken somewhat bleary eyed. O’Grady, a respected elder of the tribe, has woken up next to a kebab and discovers “Appelez-moi peut-être!” tattooed somewhere sensitive.
Tragedy strikes the alliance, as popular rebel commander Tedward Kingo is lost when his shuttle pod is swallowed by a seven-second timewarp. Despite a concerted rescue effort by his comrades, they are unable to retrieve him. Dejected, the rebels vow to fight on in his memory.

Froome Skyrider has failed to win the PodRace and pay back the money he owes JaBrailsford the Hutt, and JaBrailsford has kidnapped his fiancée, the beautiful Princess Michelle. Knowing that she is in serious danger, Skyrider begins to hatch a plan to rescue her from JaBrailsford’s compound.
Understanding that the threat posed by the Empire is serious, the military high command of the rebel alliance have organised a training exercise for X-Wing dogfighter pilots. The training is to be overseen by Grrreipel and Cavrissian, each relishing the opportunity to play out their rivalry and establish their dominance over the other. Cavrissian is able to mould his assigned squadron into a tight unit demonstrating good communication and fast reactions, and edge to the win over the disappointed Wookiee.
Cavrissian is thrilled with this victory, his confidence soaring, and he is ready to take the fight to Darth Sagan. Unfortunately, it is clear more training is required for many of the rebel fighter pilots, as a huge pile-up occurs in the massed ranks. Luckily, no-one is seriously injured, however it demonstrates to the concerned military high command just how much work will be needed if the rebels are to prevail over the resurrected empire forces.
